80% of the Trust’s support comes from Gospel Patrons
Members of Chalmers Church Edinburgh: The Trust was launched by members of Chalmers Church. Chalmers was the principal donor from 2010-2014. From the start, the Bonar Trust was a separate legal entity to Chalmers. Members of Chalmers still give to the Trust.
Group of UK Gospel Patrons based outside Scotland: In the period 2014-2018, a number of UK Gospel Patrons began to support the Trust, committing to give at a significant level over a period of time. These individuals are, for the most part, based outside Scotland.
Group of UK Gospel Patrons based in Scotland: In the period 2018-2021, the Trust has worked hard to build a group of Scottish Gospel Patrons. A strong group has now been established.
In addition to their financial support, a number of the Trust’s Gospel Patrons invest significant time and expertise in the development of the Trust.
20% of the Trust’s support comes from the growing network of people giving at a modest level.
This growing network of people funded by the Trust through their training (many now in leadership roles in churches), partner churches, training providers and gospel partners, is translating into a growing support base of people giving at a modest level.
