Each week we’re introducing you to different people supported by the Bonar Trust. In this week’s post Ashley Gardner describes his experience as a first-year Pastor-in-Training at Charlotte Baptist Chapel in Edinburgh.
David studied English Literature at the University of St Andrews before beginning his ministry apprenticeship at St Andrews Free Church. After getting married this summer, David moved to Christ Church Glasgow for the second year of his apprenticeship. Reflecting on the apprenticeship David writes, “Learning how to read God’s word in a more accurate way and have a deeper understanding of it is a real privilege.” David hopes to continue in full-time Christian ministry after finishing his apprenticeship.
After studying psychology at the University of St Andrews, Esther completed a ministry apprentice programme at Cornerstone Church Stirling from 2017-2019. While there, she was involved with the student, youth, and families ministries. Esther is now a UCCF Staff Worker in Edinburgh.
